I have worked for over twenty years in the fields of energy healing, psychotherapy and astrology, and have evolved a comprehensive healing practice where clients come to me for any or all of these.
I live by the sea in South Devon, and my deep sense of connection with – and love for — Earth underlie and infuse all my work. I see healing/therapy as ultimately the process of restoring the rightful relationship of trust and honouring between humans (individually and collectively) and Earth and Spirit. This means both immersion in the experience of physical body, place and the particularity of other beings, and a live awareness of the unseen and constantly creative world of Spirit lying just beneath the surface. Sometimes my work is explicitly ecotherapy, sometimes more oblique – but always my intention is to serve this end.
I was one of the original members of the Ecopsychology Group in London in the 1990s, and the questions we addressed then remain central to me, although my answers have changed somewhat. In recent years I have trained within shamanic traditions which perceive the Spirit within all things, and I include shamanic work in the healing I offer. I find that, for me, these traditions often reflect my experience more directly and deeply than the language of psychology and psychotherapy.
My training includes an MSc and Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy; The Work That Reconnects, with Joanna Macy; various approaches to energy healing; and the Diploma of the Faculty of Astrological Studies, where I received the Margaret Hone Award for astrological interpretation.
